Abstrak

This study aims to explore the role of student diversity in shaping an innovative organizational culture within higher education institutions. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this research synthesizes 26 relevant articles published between 2021 and 2025 to address core questions regarding the impact, supporting and inhibiting factors, and effective management strategies of student diversity. The findings indicate that student diversity significantly contributes to creating an innovative, flexible, and adaptive academic culture, acting as vital social capital that enhances social cohesion and collaborative decision-making. While factors like open communication, collaborative leadership, and local cultural values support this synergy, challenges such as closed hierarchical structures, lack of student commitment, and organizational inertia still persist. To optimize diversity, higher education management must adopt inclusive leadership, continuous cross-cultural training, and strategic policies that foster continuous innovation and mutual respect. These findings imply that strategic diversity management is crucial for higher education institutions to achieve long-term sustainability and competitiveness in a globalized era.
