Modalitas Short Wave Diathermy Dapat Mengurangi Nyeri Dan Spasme Paralumbal Muscle Pada Pasien HNP
Abstrak
Hernia nucleus pulposus (HNP) is a neurological disease of the spine due to a degenerative or traumatic process that makes the nucleus pulposus protrude posteriorly so that it experiences constriction in the nerve radicle, patients often complain of back pain that radiates to the lower limbs, especially during bending activities and spasm in the pralumbar muscles. The purpose of this case study is to determine the effectiveness of short wave diathermy modalities in patients with L4-L5 Nucleus Pulposus Hernia. The case study method was carried out in the Medical Rehabilitation room of Dr. Soegiri Lamongan Hospital, after 6 times of therapy with intervention using short wave diathermy modality, the results of pain reduction using NRS were obtained as follows: (a) silent pain T1: 6 to T6: 0, (b) tenderness m. paralumbal (D / S) T1: 5 / 5 to T6: 2/0, (c) extension / flexion motion pain T1: 3/8 to T6: 0/2, lateral flexion (D / S) T1: 3/3 to T6: 0/0 and rotational motion (D / S) T1: 3/3 to T6: 0/0. Short Wave Diathermy modality can reduce pain and spasm in L4-L5 HNP patients.
