EVALUASI KINERJA INSTALASI RAWAT INAP RUMAH SAKIT IBNU SINA DENGAN PENERAPAN BALANCED SCORE CARD
Abstract
Currently the big challenge for hospitals is how to survive to continue to provide quality services for the community and be able to face current and future competition. One form of health service in hospitals is inpatient care for patients registered at inpatient installations. The inpatient installation is one of the clinical services that serves patients who must be treated for one day or more. To review the performance of employees at the inpatient installation, it is necessary to conduct a performance evaluation by the hospital in order to improve the quality of performance of hospital staff. One of the tools that can be used for performance evaluation is the Balanced Scorecard (BSC). This BSC is a commonly used measurement tool in a company. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the BSC on the customer perspective and learning and growth perspective whether it has a significant effect on employee performance evaluation at the Ibnu Sina Hospital Inpatient Installation. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The population in this study were all employees and patients at the Ibnu Sina Hospital Inpatient Installation and the sample selected was 37 people (25 employees and 12 patient family representatives) with simple random sampling method. The results of this study indicate that the Customer Perspective variable has a positive coefficient value of 0.101 and a significance value of 0.030 <0.05 while the Learning and Growth Perspective variable has a positive coefficient value of 0.290 and a significance value of 0.027 <0.05. The application of the BSC on the customer perspective and learning and growth perspective has a significant effect on employee performance evaluation at the Ibnu Sina Hospital Inpatient Installation. The hospital should use the BSC method in measuring it performance, because the Balanced Scorecard is a balanced and coherent performance measurement so that it can evaluate the performance of hospital employees to achieve its vision and mission.
